Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Fampulse Technologies Private Limited ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Brinlet (in the App Store and Google Play as Loquence until our next update), our website, and related services.
Brinlet is a speaking practice product designed to help users record short speaking responses, receive AI-assisted feedback, and track progress over time.
1. Information we collect
We may collect information that you provide directly, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Account and profile details
- Feedback or support messages you send us
- A CV you upload for interview practice (a PDF), and the target role and answers you give about it
- Study material you add to practise from: pasted text, a PDF, or photos of pages
- Moments you add to prepare for: the kind (for example an interview, a viva or a presentation), its date, and an optional note on what it's about
We may also collect information generated through your use of Brinlet, including:
- Audio recordings you choose to submit
- Short recordings of the sentences you say for the word of the day, and the result of checking them
- Transcripts generated from those recordings
- Scores, feedback, and practice history
- The profile and interview questions generated from your CV
- The text read from your study material, and the questions written from it
- The prep plan made for each moment, which of its questions you have practised, and your answer to "How did it go?"
- Purchase records: which subscription or pack you bought, from which store, and when. We do not receive your card or other payment details.
- Device, browser, app, and log information
- Approximate location based on IP address
- How you found us: a code you enter, or the campaign tag on the store link you installed from
- Your own invite code, the record that an invite was rewarded and when, and a daily count of how many times each code is used, to spot misuse
- Searches in the app that find no topic, to suggest practice topics. The most common ones are counted across all users, with no link to any account
- Which upcoming features you asked for early access to
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate Brinlet
- Create and manage your account
- Process recordings, transcripts, and feedback results
- Generate interview questions from your CV
- Read your study material and write practice questions from it
- Plan practice before a moment, and remind you on its prep days
- Give invite rewards, and stop misuse of codes
- Provide subscriptions and purchases, and apply your practice allowance
- Count speaking habits in your answers (for example, how often an answer starts with "so basically"). The counting happens on your phone; only the numbers are sent, never what you said
- Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience
- Respond to support requests and communicate important updates
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and maintain security
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we may share information
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Brinlet, such as:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers
- Authentication, analytics, and infrastructure providers
- Speech-to-text and AI processing vendors
- Email, SMS, or customer support providers
- App stores and subscription providers (Apple, Google and RevenueCat), to process and verify purchases
A CV you upload is sent to our AI processing vendor (Anthropic) to read its details and write your interview questions. It is stored privately and cannot be read from the app. Study material you add is processed outside India by these providers:
- Anthropic writes your practice questions from it, and checks the reading of photos of pages. It keeps data only under its API data-retention terms.
- Mistral reads photos and scanned pages to turn them into text, and keeps nothing.
- Google Cloud Vision checks a photographed page when needed, and keeps nothing.
- TypeSafe checks each question against the passage it came from, and keeps nothing.
None of these providers use your material to train their models. We keep the text read from your material, not the photos or files themselves.
When you add a moment, its kind and your note on it are sent to Anthropic to choose questions for your plan; its date is not. Searches that find no topic are sent to Anthropic to suggest practice topics. Recordings, including word of the day sentences, are transcribed by AssemblyAI.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
4. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, improve the product, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the status of your account, and our legal or operational requirements.
Word of the day recordings. The short sentences you record for the word of the day are kept with your account and deleted when you delete it. We use them to check that our speech recognition works well for your accent, including when you tell us "That's not what I said".
Moments. A moment you add, its plan and your answer to "How did it go?" are kept with your account, also after the day has passed, until you delete the moment or your account. Prep-day reminders are scheduled on your phone and never name the moment.
Invite codes. Your invite code, which code your account used, and any invite rewards are kept while your account exists and deleted with it. If a friend used your code, their record of it stays with their account, but no longer leads to yours once your account is deleted.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete account and data) or on our account deletion page (requests made there are completed within 72 hours). We then delete your profile, practice history, transcripts, scores, feedback, recordings (including word of the day recordings), custom practice items, CV data, study material, moments and their plans, billing records, your invite code and any bonus practices, the code and campaign you came from and any early-access requests, and our subscription record with RevenueCat. Cost and billing event records are kept with every link to you removed. After deletion we keep no content and no raw account identifier; a one-way hash of the account identifier is kept for 30 days so a repeated request is recognised.
Deleting your CV. You can delete your CV and everything generated from it at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete my CV data), without deleting your account.
Deleting study material. You can delete any material you added, with its questions and the text read from it, at any time in the app (open it in Practise, then Delete). Deleting your account deletes all of it.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in the store. Our processors (AssemblyAI, Anthropic, Sentry, Firebase and MSG91) keep data under their own retention terms (Mistral, Google Cloud Vision and TypeSafe keep none), our service logs are kept for up to 30 days, our database keeps an internal version history for up to one hour, and deleted recordings may remain in our storage provider's soft-delete window before they are permanently removed.
Diagnostic logs. Our service logs, and the error reports and warnings the app sends to Sentry, identify your account only by a one-way hash of its identifier (the Support ID shown in Settings, then About), never by your phone number or name. This includes any log about a code or an invite. Service logs are kept for 30 days and then removed; error reports and app logs are kept under Sentry's retention terms. Analytics events are linked to the same hash.
5. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of non-essential marketing communications
To request deletion, please use the dedicated data deletion page or contact us at [email protected] .
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
Brinlet is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
8. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies on our website to understand usage, maintain basic functionality, and improve the site experience.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
